1. Create a Closed Group for your Campaign
- Create your group
- Add the friends you want to join
- Post a full update to the blog of your Campaign page and link to the
- Post you’ve written on your Facebook Group Wall
- You can also thank donors and link to your Campaign page on the Group Wall
- Your group members will receive alerts and/or messages when something is posted on the Group Wall
2. Post Status Updates about your Campaign
- This is a good option if you don’t have enough time to create a group or write lengthy updates
- It can be done on a daily basis and won’t annoy anyone
- Make sure to attach the link to your Campaign page with your status update
- You can post just the link without any update
- You can explain what your Campaign is, updates on your progress, links to funny videos, etc.
3. Send messages to your friends about your participants
- Send personalized messages to Facebook friends that you don’t have email addresses for
- Limit how often you send these types of messages
- Keep them short and sweet
- Make them personal and individualized
4. Thank donors with status updates
- Acknowledge donors by thanking them
- Tag them in your status updates (use the @ symbol then their name)
- Include your Campaign URL
- In thanking them, you’ll be letting everyone else know about your Campaign
