Wrapping up Email

Subject: Last “ I Think I Can” Campaign Email for 2009

Dear Friends,

Whew. It's week 10, and this the last time I’m going to ask for your support! I'm happy to say:
-I'm almost at my fundraising goal
-I've written a blog post every day
-And... I'm now calling myself a writer, without blushing too much.

I want to say thank you to all of you who have supported me during these last few months, with your donations, your funny and thoughtful comments, and your encouragement. These two months have been some of the most challenging yet hopeful of my life. And the reward has been magnificent.

Now, if you've been waiting to donate in order to see if I could actually write every day, now is the time to give: http://www.atthecrossroads.org/campaign/jennystadler. Friday is my last day, you know. And we only have $134 to go!

Thanks, everyone. You're the best.

Jenny

This is cool, too!

If you'd like to thank your friends while posting to your wall, here's a cool way to do it. Just type the @ symbol in front of your friend's name, like @Rob Gitin, and the update will post to his wall.

(After you type the @ symbol and start typing in your friend's name, a little box should come up where you are typing with the friend's picture in it)

Short and Sweet Update

Please see my update at http://atthecrossroads.org/campaign/marygregory1 including a picture of Yours Truly walking!

At The Crossroads and I need your help!

To those of you who have given, MANY THANKS!

Cheers,
Mary

Another update example--not as embarrassing!

Hi!

I hope you are doing really well and the winter hasn't gotten you down too much!

As you might remember, I am raising money for At The Crossroads, a small nonprofit that provides essential services to homeless and at-risk youth. Go to my page to find out more (and donate):
http://www.atthecrossroads.org/campaign/jenniferblackman1

In the time since my last email, we have managed to raise over $800! We met the first goal, and I gave blood as promised (check out the pictures on the website). We are well on our way to the second goal of $1,000; if you help us get there, I will donate two big bags of clothing to another charity (you're helping two worthy causes with just one donation!).

So, to entice you to donate any amount, every cent of which goes to this terrific organization, I have written a little haiku on the topic:

Homelessness is tough.
Every bit of help changes
lives. Support today.

Another? Ok - but only because I appreciate you so much!

No time like the now.
Be the change you want to see.
Give up some cheddar.

Thank you so much for your generosity, and seriously, every bit helps!

Gratefully,
Jen

A really, really enthusiastic campaign update

Erica Morse's 'My Pride Has a Price' Campaign is all about her getting over her fears of public humiliation. In this video she conquers her fear of people watching her dance. Whether or not she succeeded is kind of up to you...

More Updates

Here are some good, thorough update emails if this is more your style:

Subject: Update: Spinning Wisdom

Friends and Family,

I'm writing to thank you for your incredible support of my fundraising campaign with
At the Crossroads. Your messages back are inspiring and encourage me to get my a** out of bed to that d*** spin class at 6:30 on Monday mornings.

I only have $25 more to go to reach my fundraising goal for ATC. In the last four weeks, I've learned a lesson or two from spinning about the value of incentives (like cookie dough Balance Bars after class!) So, in an effort to inspire more of you to contribute to my campaign, here are a few reasons to donate to me and help ATC:

1. My birthday is in less than a month. If you contribute to my campaign, I will consider it a birthday present from you. I'm a hard person to shop for, so this is an easy present.

2. I'm a nice person when I exercise. I'm a grouchy person when I don't exercise. Your support of my spinning campaign means that I'll be more pleasant when we hang out!

3. You can see exactly what your money will support at ATC. For instance, if you give $10, you support two meals for ATC's clients. In other fundraisers, you don't really get to see where your money goes or how it is used. Check out my fundraiser page to see exactly what you will support:

http://atthecrossroads.org/campaign/abigailnathanson

Also, it's exciting to see that our revered ATC leader, Rob Gitin, made it into the chronicle yesterday, check it out:

Thank you again for your support of me and ATC!

Subject: In only 3 short days…

In only 3 short days……22 people have donated a total of $3,245!

That is so unbelievable!!

What does that $3245 means?

For At The Crossroads,
$3245 will provide either 3 years of intensive services or 433 meals for a homeless client or 649 food boxes or 4992 pairs of socks!

For the comedor,
$3245 will feed over 100 kids for almost 2 months or buy every child 2 pairs of shoes!

If you haven't checked it out:

Help me support homeless youth in San Francisco and impoverished children in Argentina at the same time!
